About

We are not building a chatbot for clinic software.

We are building clinic software where conversation is a first-class interface—and where the assistant can safely do the work because it operates the same underlying system as the UI.

The basic observation

Most clinic software is designed around the database: modules, forms, menus and fields. People are then trained to translate their real-world intent into that structure. Modern AI lets us invert that relationship. The person can state the intent first; the system can do the translation.

Why this matters in a small clinic

In a hospital, administration can be spread across departments. In a small practice, it lands on a very small number of people—and often on the doctor. Patient messages, rescheduling, lead follow-up, documentation and “where is that file?” are individually small tasks that consume a surprising amount of the working day.

Menaela is built for that environment. The target is not to automate medicine. The target is to remove the translation and coordination work around medicine wherever software can do it reliably.

Why it is a full practice system

An assistant cannot safely own a workflow if it only sees the surface of another product. If scheduling is elsewhere, the AI has to guess or integrate around someone else’s rules. If the patient record is elsewhere, it has incomplete context. If every action is implemented as a one-off automation, the demo grows faster than the product.

So Menaela includes the underlying operational system: patients, appointments, providers, services, communications, documentation and the application operations that connect them. The UI and the AI are two ways to use the same clinic.

What we do not want to become

We do not want a clinic to buy “AI” and then hire somebody to babysit prompts, reconcile five systems and copy results between tabs. We also do not want clinical authority hidden inside autonomous model behavior. The product deliberately keeps deterministic rules, permissions and signed medical records outside the model.

Built from the operator side

Menaela comes from years of opening and operating clinics and hospitals, then building healthcare software and data infrastructure. That background shapes the priorities: operational completeness before shiny demos, real patient identity before generic chat, and explicit responsibility around medical documentation.

If this sounds like the clinic you want to run

We’re working first with solo practitioners and small clinics where operational load is obvious enough to measure.
