Patients

Patient context connects operational work that would otherwise live in separate screens. Menaela can retrieve or update supported patient information within user permissions.

What belongs to patient context

  • Core patient identity and contact information.
  • Appointments and relevant scheduling history.
  • Patient conversation history and saved conversation context.
  • Files explicitly attached to the patient.
  • Medical-note content when the signed-in user has permission to access it.

Find and update patients through Menaela

Staff can ask Menaela to find a patient, retrieve supported information or update fields that the current user is allowed to change. When several patients could match, Menaela should ask for a disambiguating detail.

Saving patient files

Attachments can be saved to an explicitly selected patient. Menaela should not guess the target patient from an ambiguous document or conversation.

Example“Save this attachment to this patient.”

The selected patient makes the target explicit. If the patient is not clear, Menaela should ask before attaching the file.
