Reviewing & signing draft notes

Clinicians review and own the final note. Menaela can prepare and edit drafts, but a signed note is protected from silent regeneration or overwrite.

Review before signing

  1. Read the generated note against the consultation and transcript.
  2. Correct factual, clinical or wording issues.
  3. Resolve any uncertainty markers that require clinician judgment.
  4. Save the draft while it is still being edited.
  5. Sign only when the note accurately represents the encounter.

Signed notes are not disposable drafts

Regeneration cannot silently overwrite a note that has already been signed or amended. Corrections after signing use an amendment flow that preserves earlier versions rather than erasing the record.

Record integrityGenerate freely before signing. Amend explicitly after signing.

This separation keeps AI drafting useful without treating finalized clinical documentation as temporary model output.
