Service configuration turns vague patient language into something the scheduling system can actually search and book.

Core service information
- A clear patient-understandable name.
- Duration used by scheduling.
- Eligible providers.
- Price where a standard price is known.
- Booking constraints or preparation information that belongs to the service.
Generic appointment language
Patients often ask for “an appointment”, “a consultation” or the local equivalent without naming a service exactly. If the clinic has a clear default consultation flow, configure it so the assistant does not force patients to know internal service names.
When several materially different services could fit the same wording, clarification is safer than guessing.
Where the service appears

Use stable names
Marketing pages may use several names for the same treatment. Scheduling works better when the operational service list is stable. Menaela can understand patient phrasing, but the clinic should still have one canonical service record behind it.
