Quick start
Set language and regional basics first, then let Menaela help build the clinic context. Review the structured data before connecting live patient channels.
Before you begin
You do not need a perfect implementation document. A small amount of accurate clinic information is enough to start.
- Your clinic name and public website, if one exists.
- The primary language used by clinic staff and patient communication.
- The clinic timezone and working currency.
- At least one provider and the services that provider actually performs.
- The basic clinic working hours and booking constraints.
- Access to WhatsApp, website email or Meta lead sources only when you are ready to connect them.
The first 10 steps
- Open onboarding and choose the clinic’s default language.
- Confirm timezone and currency before adding schedules, prices or patient-facing text.
- Add the clinic website so Menaela can propose public clinic information instead of making you retype it.
- Review the clinic profile. Correct anything that is outdated, ambiguous or simply wrong.
- Review providers and remove people who should not be bookable.
- Review services, duration and provider assignment.
- Add pricing and payer information that Menaela is expected to answer from.
- Test staff Chat with questions about the clinic before connecting patient channels.
- Connect one inbound source such as WhatsApp, website email or Meta lead forms.
- Run several real-world tests, including an unavailable slot, an unclear payer question and a request that should be escalated.
Set the default language before the rest of onboarding. It gives the clinic a consistent baseline for generated text and staff interaction. Individual patient conversations can still use other supported languages.
Test before going live
The fastest setup is not the one with the fewest fields. It is the one where you catch incorrect assumptions before a patient does.
Use staff Chat and the Patient Chat Test area to try the awkward cases that actually occur in reception.
- Ask for an appointment, then change the requested time without repeating the service.
- Ask for a provider who has no suitable slot and see whether alternatives are handled correctly.
- Ask a price question that depends on missing payer information.
- Ask a medical question that the reception agent should not answer.
- Make sure clinic address, phone, service names and provider names are all returned from configured data.

What to read next
If this is your first setup, continue with Language, timezone & currency, then Onboarding from your website. After that, work through the Clinic setup section in order.
